History of Robstown Texas begins with ranchland, railroads, Robert Driscoll, cotton fields, vegetable farming, oil, and South Texas trade. The city sits in Nueces County, west of Corpus Christi. Because of that location, Robstown became known as the Crossroads of South Texas.

Real estate developer George H. Paul helped establish Robstown around 1906. As a result, the town gained a planned start near railroad lines.

A small store connected to Robert Driscoll became known locally as “Rob’s Store.” Later, residents began calling the area “Rob’s town.”
